Notice on who performs the work, and on registration and licensing in Pennsylvania
Jenkintown Water Damage Restoration receives calls and online requests for water damage service and dispatches each one. It does not extract water, dry structures or carry out repairs. An independent, licensed local company (the "partner"), normally the closest crew free at that hour, performs the work, and that company alone answers for its assessment, pricing, equipment and workmanship.
Pennsylvania has no general contractor licence and no state licence classification for water extraction, structural drying or moisture monitoring. Contractors performing home improvement work, which can include repair and reconstruction after water damage, are required to register with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General under the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act. Registration is not a licence. Plumbing and some other trades are licensed separately where a municipality requires it. Technicians may also hold certifications from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), a non-government industry body. Jenkintown Water Damage Restoration and this website are not registered or licensed under any of these and make no claim to be.
A customer may ask for the partner's Pennsylvania registration number and its technicians' IICRC certification details by telephoning (833) 490-5225 at any hour or by asking when the partner calls ahead of the visit. To protect the partner's business information, these details are not published on this website. Customers should confirm any registration number with the Attorney General's office before repair work begins, and for a New Jersey job with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Pennsylvania issues no general contractor licence. Home improvement contractors register with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General under the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, and plumbing is licensed locally rather than by the state. Across the state line, the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs applies. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
